Business Insurance

Business insurance for Ontario's small and mid-sized businesses.

Running a business means carrying risk you didn't create: a client who claims your advice cost them money, a break-in, a laptop full of client data, a contract that requires coverage you don't have yet.

Our job is to find those risks with you and put the right protection under them — before something tests it.

What we arrange

Named lines we arrange by consultation

Commercial auto & fleets. Management liability (D&O). Home-based business coverage for solopreneurs working from home — your homeowner's policy was not built for your business, and the gap is real.

Hard to place?

Declined, non-renewed, or told your business is “hard to insure”? Talk to us before you give up. Some businesses take more work to place — that is different from being uninsurable.

How it works

  1. Book a consultation — we learn how your business actually operates.
  2. We structure coverage and obtain quotes.
  3. You decide, with the reasoning explained in plain language.

Common questions

How much does business insurance cost?

It depends on what you do, your revenue, and the coverage you need. A solo consultant's professional liability and a contractor's package are priced very differently. A consultation gives you a real number instead of a guess.

Can I buy business insurance online?

Some products, yes — our Online Quotes section covers defined products you can quote and often purchase online. Anything more complex starts with a consultation so the coverage fits.

My client is asking for a certificate of insurance. Can you help?

Yes — clients can request certificates through our Request a Certificate page or by calling us.

Do I need insurance if I work from home?

Usually, yes. Home policies typically exclude or limit business activity. We can show you exactly where your exposure sits.
